Carol White

CarolCarol White is an avid road tripper, author, speaker, and book marketing coach.  In addition to co-authoring the best selling, award-winning book, Live Your Road Trip Dream (RLI Press, 2004, Second Edition 2008, www.roadtripdream.com), Carol is a frequent guest speaker at conventions such as the national AARP Life @ 50+ and The Great North American RV Rally. She is a published writer for magazines and websites and has spoken to publishing groups including Publisher's Marketing Association's PMA-U, PNBA's annual book show and locally to the Northwest Association of Book Publishers. She and her husband Phil are national spokespeople for RVIA, the RV Industry's association that produces the "Go RVing" campaign.  When they aren't traveling, Phil and Carol are at home in Wilsonville, Oregon where they enjoy golf, yoga, community activities and most of all, their eight (soon to be nine) grandchildren.

Paul Gerhards

Paul GerhardsPaul Gerhards is an author and publisher. His most recent book, published by Parami Press, Mapping the Dharma: A Concise Guide to the Middle Way of the Buddha. Prior to that his publisher was Stackpole Books, which published the best-selling How to Sell What you Make: The Business of Marketing Crafts. Stackpole also published his series of "You Can Make" books on a variety of wookworking projects he designed and built. Paul makes extensive use of the Web to market his books and other projects. He is vice president of NWABP.

 

Linda Beattie Inlow, PhD.

LindaDr. Linda Beattie Inlow, author and publisher, will be one of the presenters at Northwest Association of Book Publisher's first of three seminars sponsored in 2008.  In the morning her topic concerns the "Economics of Publishing."  She has been in publishing since 1987.  Kopacetic inK currently has seven active titles.

In the afternoon her presentation, "Accounting for Publishers," will concentrate on setting up accounts using a variety of software compatible with publishing needs.  She has served as treasurer of NWABP for the last six years and has managed her own business' finances for more than thirty.

Joanne McCall

JoanneJoanne McCall is president of McCall Public Relations, specializing in generating publicity for authors. Formerly a radio broadcaster, McCall remains a “media insider” who has a knack for generating widespread coverage in top tier media outlets including USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and Glamour Magazine in addition to national television shows such as ABC News, Good Morning America, and Dateline NBC. Clients include Simon & Schuster, Wiley, Berrett-Koehler, and Hazelden Publishing as well as best-selling author and international business consultant Brian Tracy, New York Times best-selling author Melody Beattie, Dave Ramsey, author of The Total Money Makeover and Dr. David Simon, co-founder of the Chopra Center for Well Being. McCall formed McCall Public Relations in July of 1996.
